Welcome to Palm Desert
A cultural and recreational mecca of Southern California
Hidden away in the mountains of Santa Rosa lies the exquisite city of Palm Desert. One of the freshest and most up-and-coming cities in the Coachella Valley, this community has become a verifiable mecca of culture, art, and entertainment.
The city was originally known as Old MacDonald Ranch and was the home of many Cahuilla farming families until the early 1920s when date palms were planted and the area became known as Palm Village. In 1943, the army built a maintenance camp in the area, which led to the area’s first residential development. However, it wasn’t until 1951 that real estate started to be built, and the town officially changed its name to Palm Desert.
Nowadays, the city is known for its progressive personality, access to world-class amenities, and beautiful homes with affordable price tags and varied architectural styles.
